After my recent birthday trip to Liverpool (photos on Instagram), I decided to share what was in my toiletry bag as I’ve been trying different product ranges ahead of putting together my Christmas wish list for this year.
L’Occitane Cedrat Travel Essentials
If you’ve read my last post, you’ll notice that this is the same item. Priced at £20, it contains the Cedrat soap, shower gel and after shave gel, the former doubling up as a handy moisturiser. It all comes in a blue wool-felt toiletry bag with a brown laux leather clasp.
I’m a huge fan of the Cedrat fragrance as its definitely one with the summer in mind. However, I’ll be slowly transitioning to Cade for the autumn winter season.
Unfortunately, L’Occitane must have stopped selling it in the last week as its not available on their website. However, they do have an array of travel sizes on their website should you be jetting off anywhere soon.
As the weather in Liverpool was fantastic for the time I was there – 23ºC and sunny all day, the sample of sunscreen from Altruist I received days before I left was very lucky and came in such a treat.
Although I don’t go aboard that often and I’m not one for soaking up the rays, its always essential to make sure you’re covered from the sun as the risk of skin cancer is always lurking around the corner.
One thing that I’ve never enjoyed with sunscreens is that their application can often be greasy and sticky, especially when it comes to clothing. Another is that they’ll have a fragrance which will clash with my after shave.
Altruist is fragrance free and absorbs fast with no residue or stickiness left. Its suitable for all skin types, hypoallergenic and water resistant, making it ideal for city holidays or those which involve swimming or surfing.
Its SPF30 range starts at £4.00 for its 200ml variant, with a 1 litre family size pump bottle selling for £14.00. Its SPF50 range starts at £3.75 for a 100ml bottle.
