Before I start this post, I want to offer my condolences and thoughts to the families of those affected by the Manchester and London attacks. My thoughts continue to be with the families of those affected by the tragedy which took many lives far too early and injured several others.

With that said, May has been a mixed month for me. Personal and work life couldn’t be any better and I have been enjoying some fantastic products and music this month.

Beats X Wireless Headphones

To start this month, I’ve been looking for a really good pair of wireless headphones to use for my journey to work. After going back and forth between the Apple Airpods and the Beats X Wireless Headphones, I decided to go with the Beats as I’ve had the Solo HD headphones in the past and the sound quality was pretty good.

The X Wireless Headphones advertise two charging times; 5 minutes of charging gives you 2 hours usage or 45 minutes charging gives you 8 hours of usage. Using the Apple W1 bluetooth chip, battery information is shown on my Macbook Pro but not on my Motorola G4 Plus.

The neck strap allows the headphones to be worn without the worry of them falling off which is great as I make multiple transport interchanges to get to the office everyday. The earbuds have magnetics on the rear which allow them to connect together to form a kind of a necklace.

Included in the box are interchangeable buds and loops to ensure that the headphones don’t fall out of your ears as well as a 3 month subscription to Apple Music.

The main reason I didn’t go for the Airpods was that I’m not considering buying an iPhone anytime soon so I would lose some of the functionality and that some people are reporting that they are falling out of their ears and losing them. For headphones which are £160, these are two serious negatives for me.

Considering the Beats X Wireless Headphones are on sale for £130 and the included Apple Music subscription is worth £30, it makes the headphones £100 which is pretty decent.

L’Occitane Cedrat Global Face Gel

This is my second L’Occitane product I’m trying this year, having already tried their travel sized gift box which I picked up in the January sales. Whilst I wasn’t surprised by some of the products in the travel sized box, I was really surprised at their aftershave balms.

After doing some research, I thought I would try the Cedrat Global Face Gel. I’ve found that aftershave balms and moisturisers I’ve used in the past tend to be greasy which leaves my skin and eyes irritated.

After trialing it for 2 weeks, I’m seeing good things; especially as my skin isn’t irritated but feels fresh. The fragrance of the Cedrat Global Face Gel is citrus-y; lemons with a slight hint of mint.

I highly recommend this is if you’re looking for non-greasy moisturiser which is long lasting and won’t break the bank.

Harry Styles – Harry Styles

Whilst I’m not a fan of the One Direction collective, Harry Styles has really stood out for me, especially with his debut album.

A few of my favourites include Sign of the Times, Kiwi and Carolina. Take a listen below.

Thats all for this month. I’d love to hear what your favourites are this month, either in the comments or on social media.
